IMAGINE H2O AND BERKELEY ENERGY & RESOURCES COLLABORATIVE PRESENT:

A WORKSHOP ON WATER ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Come network with business leaders, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and market experts in water-related fields, and learn about:

  • The emerging water crisis and challenges
  • Business opportunities and market needs in an emerging water efficiency ecosystem
  • Imagine H2O's business plan competition on water efficiency and business incubation resources

Program will include moderation, talks and panel discussions by leading thinkers in water efficiency topics, including

  • Tamin Pechet - Principal, Catamount Ventures and Chairman, Imagine H2O
  • Dana Haasz - Water Conservation Administrator at San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
  • Alexis Strauss - Director, Water Division, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • Rachel Sheinbein - Venture Capitalist, CMEA Ventures
  • Michael George - Sr. Managing Director, Sutter Securities and former EVP, American States Water Co.
  • Craig Jacoby - Partner, Cooley Godward Kronish

The program will also feature facilitated networking and small table discussions to share ideas and facilitate team formation in support of the upcoming Imagine H20 water efficiency prize.

BART: From San Francisco or other points west or south of Berkeley, take a Richmond-bound BART train to the Downtown Berkeley station. From the BART station, it's a 20-minute (uphill) walk to Haas; you can also take the campus shuttle bus (closest stop is at Scandinavian Designs, at Shattuck and Addison). Ask to be dropped off at the Haas School of Business. Fare is $1. Visit the campus shuttle website or call (510) 642-5149 for more information.

AC Transit: AC Transit bus service provides transportation for commuters to and from San Francisco and throughout Alameda and western Contra Costa County. There are several AC bus lines that come near the campus area. Visit the AC Transit website or call (510) 817-1717 for information.

Anna Head West parking lot, located one block above Telegraph Avenue, between Channing and Haste
City of Berkeley Sather Gate Garage, located on Durant between Dana and Telegraph. Enter from Channing Way or Durant Ave.
University of California Student Union Garage, located on Bancroft just West of Telegraph
